(CARBONDALE, IL) — A Jackson County Grand Jury Friday indicted two Missouri men on first degree murder charges in the fatal Easter shooting of 41-year-old Timothy Beaty of Carbondale back on March 27.  Jackson County State’s Attorney Michael Carr says 21-year-old Travis Tremayne Tyler and 21-year-old John Frank Ingram, both from Cape Girardeau, were each indicted on two counts of first degree murder, one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, a Class X Felony; and two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm, both Class 1 Felonies. Tyler and Ingram were previously charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.  A pretrial hearing was set for June 28 in the case.  Tyler and Ingram were both at a party at 402 W. Walnut Street on March 27 when they fired a gun a person there. Another man, Nehemiah Greenlee, was injured and taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. He was then sent to a St. Louis hospital for treatment. Police then found Beaty later unresponsive in at a house near where the party was taking place. He was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, where he was pronounced dead. Police say a stray bullet struck Beaty inside his home.  If convicted, both men could spend several years in prison on the charges.
