(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council is due to meet this evening at the Rolland W. Lewis Community Building. Among items on the agenda, the council will hear bid results for the North 27th Street project, the City Manager will make a request for final reallocation of funds for the 2015-2016 budget and request to seek proposals for an industrial park conservation area tax increment fund note. The City Attorney will read multiple property rezoning ordinances, an ordinance approving a tax increment finance redevelopment agreement between the city of Mt. Vernon and Barry and Kimmy Dent, a first reading of a prevailing wage rate ordinance, and resolutions approving a collective bargaining agreement between the city of Mt. Vernon and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the city and Laborer’s International Union of North America, the Southern & Central, Illinois District Council, and Laborer’s Local #1197 and the Teamster’s Automotive, Petroleum, and Allied Trades, Local #50. Finally, the mayor will present for appointment Kenneth Meyers to the Police and Fire Commission. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
