(Cahokia, IL)  —  Cahokia is raising its tax on some food and beverages sold in the city.  Last night, the city council voted to raise the sales tax on food and drinks sold at restaurants.  The tax is jumping from two-percent to five-percent.  Officials haven’t announced when the increase will go into effect.
