(BENTON, IL) — Bond will stay at $100,000 for a Zeigler man who is being held in the Franklin County Jail on sex-related charges. Franklin County Circuit Judge Tom Tedeschi recently denied a motion filed by 25-year-old Allen Farris’ attorney to have bond reduced. The bond hearing was scheduled for May, but was moved up. Farris was charged in March with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child over the age of 5. He was also charged with unlawful possession of cannabis between 10 and 30 grams. The state has also filed a motion to revoke Farris’ probation he got in August of 2013 on a burglary charge. A hearing on that matter is set for May 19 at 1:30. Farris is set to have a pre-trial hearing on April 14 at 1:30 and a final pretrial hearing on May 26 at 9:30. His jury trial is set for June 7.
