(Edwardsville, IL) — A woman’s torso found along Interstate 70 in Warren County twelve years ago is now being identified as Deanna Howland of Alton. Police in Warren County started working with Madison County, Illinois sheriff detectives on a missing persons case last year and the collaboration led to DNA testing and ultimately matches from family members. The Major Case Squad has been re-activated and detectives on both sides of the river are working the 2004 case. They ask anyone with information to contact Warren County police, the Madison County Illinois Sheriff’s Department or St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers.
