(BENTON, IL) — A Benton couple was arrested Monday morning after Benton Police responded to the 600 block of East Bound Street in reference to a 3-year-old child found outside without any supervision. Through further investigation, police arrested 38-year-old David W. Thorpe and 30-year-old Nichole L. Hammonds and charged them with endangering the life and health of a child. They were taken to the Franklin County Jail for further processing.
