(MT. VERNON, IL) — Candidates are not the only recipients of votes today in Jefferson County. Two public questions face voters from all parties today.  One is regarding a sales tax rate increase to support school facilities within the county. The other question regards the sale of water in the Rend Lake Conservancy District to support recreational activities that are provided by the district. For citizens in the Grand Prairie School District, a proposition to increase the limiting rate for property taxes will be listed as an additional question on the ballot.
