(ENERGY, IL) — Two Mt. Vernon men were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in Energy Saturday night. Energy Police Chief Shawn Ladd says 26 year old Theodore Jefferson and 21 year old Marty McCluskey were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and manufacture/delivery of cannabis – 30 to 500 grams. There are incarcerated in the Williamson County Jail. Ladd says just before 10, members of the police department’s Drug Interdiction Team made a traffic stop for multiple violations. After making contact with Jefferson and McCluskey and after an initial investigation, officers discovered that they were in possession of suspected crack cocaine – 2.3 grams, more than a half-pound of cannabis and more than $800 in cash.
