(BENTON, IL) — Two Franklin County men face charges after a theft Saturday evening at Dollar General on East Main in Benton. Benton Police told WSIL-TV officers were called to the store for a retail theft in progress. The suspects – 33-year-old Christopher R. Braden of Thompsonville and 53-year-old Jack A. Miller of Benton – fled but were caught by officers shortly thereafter. Both men were arrested for retail theft and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Miller was also cited for driver while license suspended. They were both taken to the Franklin County Jail.
