(MT. VERNON, IL) — The Mt. Vernon City Council met Monday evening. Among items on the agenda, the Council approved a bid for a chemical strorage building at Fleet Services at a cost of $7,466.50. The City Manager presented a Capital Projects Report. The council approved an ordinance for a liquor license for the purpose of selling beer and wine at the new Joe’s Pizza location in Mt. Vernon. A resolution was also approved for an agreement for professional engineering services with Rhutasel and Associates, Inc. regarding the 44th Street water line replacement project.
