Mt. Vernon, IL- In honor of World Polio Day, which is widely recognized on October 23rd, the Rotary Club of Mt. Vernon has enacted it’s “Your Change Changes The World” campaign as part of Rotary’s mission to eradicate the crippling childhood disease polio. Collection jars have been placed at many locations around the community, the Rotary Club of Mt. Vernon asks that you share your change. For as little as 60 cents a child can be protected against polio for life. Banners featuring club members reenacting the “This Close” campaign have been hung at Crossroad Community Hospital, Morris Lane Harvey Law Offices, Casey Middle School and Rare Chophouse to spread awareness. As the World Polio Day draws close, The Rotary Club of Mt. Vernon and Rotary International ask you to join on their commitment towards polio eradication.
