(East St. Louis, IL) — A teachers walkout in East St. Louis is entering a second day. There is no idea of how long it will be before the union and the school district will return to the negotiating table. School leaders are providing students with round-trip buses to schools for breakfasts. Community centers and after-school program providers will open their doors again at noon today to offer lunches and snacks for every child who needs them.
