(East St. Louis, IL) — Police in the Metro East are investigating a pair of shootings that left one woman dead and a man injured. Police say Sherrain House was visiting with family when she was shot outside the family’s home on 22nd Street in East St. Louis. That shooting happened around 11 o’clock Thursday night. Three hours later, an unidentified man was found near Cahokia High School shot multiple times at the intersection of Range Lane and Mildred Avenue. He was conscious when taken to the hospital. No suspect descriptions or other details have been released in either case.
