A Murphysboro man pled guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court in Benton to a three-county indictment charging two counts of distribution of crack cocaine and methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. U.S. Attorney Steven Wigginton says 35-year-old Issac Jackson committed the offenses in late February of this year in Jackson County. Court records show Jackson sold both crash cocaine and meth to a confidential source working for law enforcement. When Jackson was arrested on Feb. 25, he was in possession of a large amount of cash and a large amount of crack cocaine packaged for distribution. The crack cocaine and meth offenses carry a penalty of up to 20 years in federal prison to be followed by three years of supervised release and a $1 million fine.
