(Jefferson County, IL)– The effects of a state budget impasse are hitting the Jefferson County Board. In an email sent to the board from the Illinois Department of Revenue, payments and salary reimbursements have been suspended for state attorneys, public defenders, and supervisors of assessments. Jefferson County Board Treasurer Dan Knox says this will impact the board about $25,000 a month. IDR says payments for the Supervisors of Assessments Half Salary Reimbursements are suspended beginning with the June 2015 payments. The State’s Attorneys and Public Defenders Salary Reimbursements payments are suspended beginning with July’s payments.
