(PINCKNEYVILLE, IL) — It looks like city leaders in Pinckneyville will be hiring a new Utility Department employee after another employee was fired over missing money. WSIL-TV reports the city council discussed the issue during its executive session Monday night. Officials say the worker was fired, but would not release who it was or say how much money was gone and where it was taken from. They say the incident is under investigation and more details could be coming in a few days.
