(MCLEANSBORO, IL) — The McLeansboro City Council is expected to learn more about plans a McLeansboro woman has for a building she owns at 108 W. Cherry St. during a special city council meeting this afternoon. Patricia Irvin wants to rent out her building to Russ McKamey of San Diego, who has operated an extreme haunted house there called McKamey Manor for several years. Irvin says the haunted house McKamey wants to bring to McLeansboro will not operate like the one in San Diego. It will only be open during the Halloween season and will only be open at night. City leaders say the business will have to meet codes, zoning regulations and comply with all city regulations before it goes any further. The meeting starts at 4:30. You’re invited.
