(Altamont, IL) — An Altamont man accused of taking an underage girl into Missouri and having sex with her now faces federal charges. Steven Larson is charged with statutory rape and child molestation among several other charges. Investigators say the 60-year-old man and the 13-year-old girl were found in a Missouri hotel room together in February. Police say Larson kidnapped the youngster. He also faces charges in Illinois and Missouri.
