John William Purdue, age 84, of Mt. Vernon and a former resident of Kell passed away at 12:56 P.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon. Memorial Service for John Purdue will be held will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Old Union Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon with Rev. Ralph Wilton officiating. Interment will be held at the Purdue Cemetery in Kell. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the Old Union Missionary Baptist Church. Friends may call the L.
