(MT. VERNON, IL) — A 25-year-old man is in the Jefferson County Jail, after a sheriff’s office investigation led to his arrest on stolen property charges. Britin White was initially arrested for alleged possession of stolen property but now also faces charges of aggravated intimidation and resisting a peace officer. Deputy reports say that while in custody, White threatened deputies and failed to comply with deputies and correctional officers. White’s bail has been set at $25,000.
