Former Police Chief Denies Guilt In Gun Incidents

(Orient, IL) –Orient’s former police chief says he’s not guilty in connection to a February incident where he allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened patrons at Elsie’s Tavern and the American Legion in Orient. Joe Brown entered his plea Thursday in Franklin County Court. Brown faces several charges including intimidation and official misconduct. Brown will be back in court for his pretrial hearing July 9.
