(Belleville, IL) — A man convicted in a 20 year old cold case investigation faces sentencing today. George Bricking had long been a suspect in Christine Foster’s death because she was last seen on the back of his motorcycle and because a ring like his was clutched in the dead woman’s hand. Two grand juries declined to charge him, but in 2012 new DNA evidence and new interviews with witnesses led to charges and a guilty plea. Bricking faces up to 20-years in prison.
