(Carterville, IL) — Carterville has a new top cop. Heather Reno will start her new job on June 29. She was selected from three other finalists for the position, which became vacant when her predecessor was demoted. Reno’s next move is to retire from the Carbondale Police Department where she’s served for the last 21 years.
