(Jonesboro, IL) — A Anna woman accused of suffocating her infant daughter will spend the rest of her life in a mental institution. Stacey Tiffin was found guilty by reason of insanity Thursday in Union County court. Prosecutors say in 2012, she placed her hand over the mouth and nose of her eleven-month-old daughter, Cassandra. The child died later at later at Union County Hospital. Tiffin has a status hearing next Tuesday.
