(Carbondale, IL) — A Carbondale pastor will spend six years in prison for theft. Joshua Swain heard his fate on Monday from a Jackson County judge. The former spiritual leader pleaded guilty to pocketing more than 75-thousand-dollars from the View Church over a two year period. The judge turned down the defense’s request for 48 months of probation claiming Swain was a “diabolical criminal.”
