(Belleville, IL) — Metro East law enforcement spent more than one-hundred thousand dollars during the Ferguson riots. That’s according to the “Belleville News-Democrat,” which filed Freedom of Information requests at several departments in the area. The paper found Illinois cities in the St. Louis area spent around 120-thousand dollars on overtime and riot gear.
