David Mathus, 46, of Mount Vernon, passed away at 9:15 A.M., Saturday, December 20th at his parent’s home in Mt. Vernon. In honor of his wishes Mr. Mathus will be cremated. Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, December 23rd at Smith Veteran’s Cemetery in Jefferson County, with Reverend Andy May officiating. Members of Mount Vernon American Legion Post #141 will conduct Full Military Honors at the cemetery. In honor of his wishes, there will be no Visitation.
