WMIX receives numerous notices for boil water orders. This is the place to stay up-to-date with water information we receive.

Boil Water Orders ISSUED:

Mt. Vernon:
December 23rd, 2020 – 400 block of south 21st
January 7th, 2021 – 4300 blk and 4401 sassafras
January 12th, 2021 – All of 2600 & 2700 Blocks of Colonial Dr., 1014 Southgate Dr. Building B

Western Wayne Water District:

Pinckneyville:
January 19th, 2021 – Beginning Tuesday, January 19th, 2021, a boil water order will be in effect for ALL Pinckneyville water customers until further notice. This is due to filter effluent tank replacement projects at the water treatment facility. Stay up to date at ci.pinckneyville.il.us or sign up for txt alerts by sending “Pville” to 33222.

Bonnie:
January 13th, 2021 –
Due to the replacement of a valve at North St. & Hayes, the entire Village of Bonnie water system has been shut down.

Village of Belle Rive:
December 23rd, 2020 – 
Lamplight Road and all customers south of 142 in Opdyke until further notice.

Boil Water Orders LIFTED:

Mt. Vernon:
January 4th, 2020 – 200blk of south 9th street
January 4th, 2021 – 1000 block of South 37, all of Dogwood
January 8th, 2021 – 4300 block and 4401 Sassafras
January 15th, 2021 – All Apartments on Rose Ln.  Both the Jefferson County Housing Authority and Public housing sides

Bonnie:
September 16th, 2020 – The boil water order due to a Water Main Break yesterday has been fixed. Service is restored from North Street in Bonnie to the end of line 15442 Saddle Club Rd.
December 11th, 2020 – THIS ORDER HAS BEEN LIFTED (12-16-2020): Due to a fire hydrant replacement at Highway 37 & 5th Street, service will be interrupted. A boil water order is in effect for 5th & Johnson to end of line on Palmer.

Woodlawn:
December 10th, 2020 – THIS ORDER HAS BEEN LIFTED: There is a water main shutoff and replacement of a leaking gate valve. A boil water order has been issued on Houston Rd from Woodlawn Rd to Steel Ln. Steel Ln south of Houston and Tempe Rd.

Village of Belle Rive:
Belle Rive water system has lifted a boil water order until further notice for all customers on Spring Garden, Nolan, Reardon, Bakerville, Goshen, Matisse, Van Doren, Forbes, and Taft Roads. Also, anyone who has experienced low or no water pressure.

Western Wayne Water District:
September 30th, 2020 – All Jefferson County residents on Western Wayne Water. All Wayne County Residents living on as well as South of County Road 1250 N.

Pinckneyville:
January 8th, 2021 –
 THIS ORDER HAS BEEN LIFTED: Due to a water main leak a boil water order has been issued for all customers North of the Railroad Crossing on State Route 127.
