The surge in spending will be driven by electronics, clothing, and beauty products, with 81% of shoppers planning to buy clothing or accessories. About 20% of consumers are projected to spend over $1,000. Household consumption accounts for around 70% of the U.S. GDP, highlighting the impact of holiday shopping on the economy.
Small Business Saturday is tomorrow, and it aims to boost local economies across the country, and also right here in our region. The annual event encourages shoppers to support locally owned small businesses. Business owners say the day not only drives sales but also fosters community connections. Nationwide, Small Business Saturday has generated over $210 billion in spending since its launch in 2010.
