Rickey Lee Teal, 73, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:19 am February 26, 2023 at  his residence. He was born July 18, 1949 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Raleigh Lee and Helen Lucille (Rash) Teal.

Rickey is survived by his sister, Judy Ann Burns of Yorkville, Illinois; brother, Michael D. Teal of Mount Vernon, Illinois; niece, Julie Buonincontro and husband, Len; nephews, Daniel Burns II and wife, Meri and Mark Burns and wife, Debra; great-nieces and great-nephews, Vincenzo, Dominic, Sophia, Jade, Daniela, Daniel III, Sofia, Mark, Matthew, Michael, Brandi, Tim, Corey, Tom; and great-great-nephews, Holden, Waylen, and Max.

In addition to his parents, Rickey was preceded in death by his nephew, Timothy Burns and great-niece, Brittney Burns.

Mr. Teal proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Rickey worked as a truck driver for many years. He had also worked for a lighting production company and later in his life he drove for SCT Transportation.

There will be no public services held.
