Kerry Dean Warren, 58, of McLeansboro passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.

Kerry was born October 13, 1963 in Fairfield, IL, the son of Louie Dean Warren and Lois Jean (Hall) Warren-Elliston.  He married Tammy (Thomas) Warren on February 16, 2007.

Kerry worked at Hall’s Sawmill in McLeansboro; Circle R Fertilizer in Springerton; and at Black Construction in Mt. Vernon.  He was also certified as a hardwood lumber inspector.  Kerry was a member of the McLeansboro Eagles Aerie #2699, the McLeansboro American Legion Post #106, and the McLeansboro Elks B.P.O.E. #1882.  He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, riding horses in rodeos and horse shows, and spending time with friends and family. He was a talented musician and the lead singer of the Rollin’ Country Band.

Kerry is survived by his wife Tammy Lynn Warren; mother Lois Warren-Elliston; sister Montie (Mike) Hill; brother Kraig (Vicki) Warren; mother-in-law Betty Thomas, brother-in-law Brad (Susan) Thomas; seven nieces & nephews: Amy Draper, Adam Hill, Abby (Joe) Grein, Hannah Moore, Kayley Warren, Dalton Thomas, and David Thomas; several great-nieces & great-nephews; and his non-blood brother James “J.B.” Brown.

Kerry was preceded in death by his father Louie Dean Warren on July 26, 1980; his father-in-law Lloyd Thomas; his sorrel quarter horse Polly Anna Bar Bob; maternal grandparents Lloyd & Opal Hall; paternal grandparents Delbert & Lucille Warren; and his wife’s grandparents Denton & Pearl Nelson, and Gilbert & Callie Thomas.

Visitation for Kerry Dean Warren will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5 to 8 pm at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Gholson Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Prince and J.B. Brown officiating. A procession to Springer Cemetery at Blairsville, IL will follow the funeral services.
