VANDALIA, IL — A Town Hall meeting has been scheduled for the evening of Monday, June 6, to address questions surrounding the future of the Vandalia Correctional Center.
State Senator Jason Plummer and State Representative Blaine Wilhour had earlier indicated the Town Hall would be scheduled when it appeared reductions in the inmate population at Vandalia might happen.
The Town Hall is free and open to the public.
It’ll take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 6th at the Kaskaskia College Vandalia Center at 2310 West Fillmore Street in Vandalia.
The legislators plan to provide an update on what information they’ve been able to collect from the administration, and there will be time for people to offer comments and ask questions.
