CARBONDALE, IL — A Carbondale man is facing gun-related charges after Carbondale Police responded to the 100 block of North Washington Street in reference to a disturbance late Saturday night.

According to a press release from Carbondale Police, responding officers heard several shots coming from the area as they responded to the scene. During the course of the investigation, officers arrested 29-year-old Charleton J. Patterson for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon. There were no reported injuries, but one parked vehicle was struck by at least one bullet. Patterson was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
