MT. VERNON, IL — Road closures are planned in the coming days for two areas of Mt. Vernon.
The first will take place on South 10th Street Monday, June 21st at 8am and finish on Friday, June 25th at 7pm; while the other will be on Broadway Street and Main Street Monday, June 28th at 8am and finished by Friday, July 2nd at 7pm.
These closures are necessary so the Evansville Western Railway can perform repairs on the railroad crossings on Eastbound Broadway Street and Westbound Main Street.
No traffic will be permitted through the Broadway and Main/South 15th Street crossings during repairs. You should use the marked detour.
