Brytan I. Musgrave, 24, of Cisne, died on Friday, February 26, 2021, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He had been a roustabout, working for Bi-Petro and Les Wilson Drilling.

Brytan was born on February 4, 1997, in Mt. Vernon, IL, to David Skurat and Tabitha Musgrave.

Brytan had a love for the outdoors, and liked to go muddin’ in his diesel truck, fishing, hunting, and anything else he could find to do outside. He could be seen wearing a mullet underneath his hat. Brytan gave his heart to Jesus on February 14th of this year.

Survivors include his father David (Kim) Skurat of Dieterich, IL, his mother Tabitha Musgrave of Cape Girardeau, MO, maternal grandparents Marvin (Robin) Musgrave of McLeansboro, IL, Elaine Musgrave of Walnut Hill, IL, paternal grandparents Clarence (Connie) Skurat of Woodlawn, IL, two sisters Hannah Skurat of Carmi, IL, and Lexi Crowell of Walnut Hill, IL, his girlfriend Rebecca Hutchison, special friend Shelby Ray, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death  by his paternal grandmother Rhonda Skurat, who died on February 15th of this year.

Funeral services for Brytan Musgrave will be at 11am on Wednesday, March 3rd at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, IL, with burial in Old Springer Cemetery, west of Springerton, IL. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday, March 2nd at the funeral home.  Memorial donations can be made to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
