SESSER — The Sesser-Valier School Board approved a blended learning plan for their return to school at their meeting Thursday night.

Students will be divided into two groups and will attend in-person classes either on Monday and Thursday or on Tuesday and Friday. The days they do not attend school physically, they will attend remotely. Wednesday will be remote learning for all students.

Sesser-Valier Schools Superintendent Jason Henry believes this plan will keep kids in his district as safe and healthy as possible. But it is obviously not what everyone involved wants for our kids.

Henry says this plan is how the district will start the year. The district’s COVID-19 will continue to assess and make changes to improve the school’s return plan as necessary.

The first day of in-person classes for Sesser-Valier students is August 20th.
