WILLIAMSON COUNTY — IDOT is warning residents of upcoming bridge repairs on Illinois Route 166 in Williamson County.

Starting Monday, weather permitting, IDOT will be repairing the bridge carrying Route 166 over the south fork of the Saline River about three miles south of Route 13. Lane closures will be required and begin at 7 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and controlled by signals.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-October. Motorists should be aware that there will also be a 12′ width restriction, and should also reduce speed, be alert to equipment and workers and use extreme caution while traveling through all work zones.

To avoid any delays, motorists should seek an alternate route. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the work zone as quickly as possible.
