Lucas Denny Lemay, 39, of Mount Vernon, IL, passed away at 11:08 am May 18, 2020 in Centralia, IL. He was born December 2, 1980 in Mount Vernon, IL to Eric D. Lemay and Karen S. (Gilliams) Lemay.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Eva Lemay; brother, Nick Lemay of Mount Vernon, IL; sister, Allyson Adams and husband, Paul of Bonnie, IL; grandmother, Geneva Guilliams of St. Charles, MO; aunts, Laura Frassato and husband, Jim of Marion, IL, Pam Walls and husband, Stan of Bartlett, TN; uncles, Charles Guilliams and wife, Brenda, William “Bill” Guilliams and wife, Jan of St. Charles, MO, and Edward Guilliams and wife, Tina of Vilonia, AR; and many cousins whom he loved and enjoyed spending time with.

Luke was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Evans “Pete” Lemay, Laa Ree Lemay, and Charles O. Guilliams, Sr.

Luke, aka Blue, attended Rend Lake College. He was a gifted artist, having sketched his first drawing at the age of twelve. He taught himself how to play the guitar and enjoyed playing it late at night. He loved the outdoors and often went hiking and repelling with his daughter, Eva, as well as other family and friends. In 2001, Blue traveled across the U.S. from New York to California. He was a cook at several restaurants in Mount Vernon, including the Frost Mug. Blue was a faithful friend and a kind soul. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, June 1st, 2020 at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens at 1:00 P.M. in Woodlawn, Illinois with Reverend Joshua York officiating. Interment will follow.
