HAMILTON COUNTY — The Hamilton County Board approved LED work at the future highway department building at Tuesday night’s meeting.
The action is a part of improvements the county is making to remodel the former Webb Oil Property building for the county’s highway department. The board originally purchased the property in November.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the board approved the purchase of iPads for board members for meeting use. They also approved a resolution that many other Illinois counties are signing variations of. Hamilton County’s resolution shows support for local businesses if they try to open up before the Governor’s stay-at-home order expires, but they are not officially opening the county up and are reminding businesses that they are not responsible for such things as business licensing.
The board will meet again on Tuesday, June 16th at 6 p.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse.
