MARION COUNTY, IL — A Marion County husband and wife have come forward on social media as the two individuals positively diagnosed in the county with COVID-19.

While they have publicly identified themselves, in the interest of public safety we will not release their names or their location to prohibit people in other areas of the county from a false sense of security from the coronavirus pandemic.

The man and woman have isolated themselves at home and the wife has noted that she began developing symptoms commonly associated with the disease on Sunday, March 22 when she began to run a fever with body aches and chills. She also mentions that she had a headache that went away within minutes of taking Tylenol.

The husband describes the coronaviris as the worst flu imaginable: fever, aches, chills, headache, and malaise, difficulty eating, sleeping and thinking. He says his highest temperature thus far has been over 102-degrees.

Neither can say for sure who gave them the virus but ask everyone to obey the stay-at-home order.

They also thank all the medical professionals continuing to work on the front lines of fighting this disease, as well as all the grocery store workers, truck drivers and others that continue to work to help during this crisis.
