CROSSVILLE, IL — A Crossville man wanted on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of felony domestic battery is now facing drug charges after he was arrested by Crossville Police in the parking lot of Maier Grocery in Crossville around 6:50 Tuesday night.

According to Crossville Police, 54-year-old Sherman Ray Hilborn’s bond on the warrant was set at $275. During the search by correctional officers, a baggy weighing .44 grams was found in Hilborn’s wallet. The contents tested positive for meth. Hilborn also had a straw with residue in the wallet.

Hilborn was charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful use of property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hilborn was taken to the White County Jail.
