MOUNT VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Police Department is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those involved in the January shooting death of a man in the 2100 block of Perkins.

According to MVPD, Carlos Lewis was shot and killed in the evening hours of January 27th, 2019.

The case into Lewis’ death remains under investigation. The department has received credible information in the past regarding the Lewis case and those possibly involved. They are seeking any additional information that might lead to an arrest and prosecution of those involved.

The Jefferson County Crime Stoppers Organization has increased the reward in this case to $1,000.
