CARMI — A Carmi woman is facing drug-related charges after she was pulled over by Carmi Police for being a revoked driving just after 5:30 Sunday evening at Cherry and Jessup streets.

According to a Carmi Police arrest and booking report, police found inside 65-year-old Diane Strong’s purse a meth pipe, 1 gram of cannabis and five baggies of meth ranging from .16 grams to .74 grams.

Strong was cited for driving on a revoked license and possession of cannabis. She was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, use prohibited and possession of meth with the intent to deliver.

She was still booked in the White County Jail as of Monday afternoon according to the jail’s website. She was scheduled to make her first appearance in court Monday morning.
