CARMI — A Harrisburg woman faces a couple of charges after being stopped by Carmi Police around 2:45 Monday afternoon on Route 1 and Main Street in Carmi.

Police say 29-year-old Sarah A. Bohnert was stopped after a license check revealed that she was driving on a suspended driver’s license. She was charged for driving while license suspended or revoked.

During the inventory search of the vehicle, a set of brass knuckles was found. She was then additionally charged with unlawful use of weapons for possessing brass knuckles.

Bohnert was taken to the White County Jail, where she bonded out on $150 cash.

The Hamilton County Clerks Office will be holding a public test of the Model 100 voting equipment and Auto Mark equipment on Tuesday, March 26 at 8:30 a.m. in the County Clerk’s office in McLeansboro.

The equipment will be used for the consolidated election coming up onApril 2.
