OMAHA – Two people were involved in a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Gallatin County.

Illinois State Police say around 6:25, a car driven by 55-year-old Philip Drone of Eldorado was traveling west on Illinois 141, a quarter mile east of Awalt Lane, as 56-year-old Richard E. Brock of Mt. Vernon, Indiana was driving his pickup truck east on Illinois 141 in the same area.

Drone struck a deer and then struck Brock’s truck head on.

Drone was taken to an out of state hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Drone was cited for failure to wear a seat belt. No word if Brock was injured.

ISP was assisted at the crash scene by Gallatin County EMS, Air Evac 138, Omaha Fire Department, Jones Towing and Hoskins Towing.
