MARION COUNTY — A 19-year-old Centralia man was charged Tuesday in Marion County court with armed robbery.

Bail for Dylan Foutch has been set a $50,000. He’s charged with Class X felony armed robbery and is prohibited from having contact with the alleged victim.

According to Wamac police, around 11 p.m. Monday, Foutch allegedly put a gun to the head of a man standing in the 300 block of Sanders Street and the man reportedly gave up his wallet. The alleged victim was not injured.

Following an investigation, police questioned Foutch who was allegedly found in possession of the gun that was believed to have been used in the incident as well as the victim’s wallet, but not the money that had been inside.

The victim was reportedly standing along the street waiting for another man who had given him a ride to return when he was approached by Foutch.

Foutch is scheduled to next appear in court for a March 19 preliminary hearing and first appearance with his court appointed attorney.
