CENTRALIA — A 43-year-old Centralia man was arrested over the weekend following a traffic stop that reportedly revealed methamphetamine and other drug-related items.

Centralia police arrested Christopher Taulbee Friday night on South Poplar Street. During the stop Taulbee reportedly refused to allow officers to search his vehicle so the CPD K-9 unit responded to the scene where the dog reportedly alerted on the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and reportedly revealed multiple baggies containing approximately 18 grams of a substance that field tested positive as meth, along with a scale and six syringes – two of which contained an unspecified liquid.

Taulbee was placed under arrest and was transported to the Marion County Jail where he remains.
