Benton Police Chief Kyle Melvin says around 5:20, officers went to a home in the 600 block of Depot Street and found that the victim, a 37-year-old man, had multiple stab wounds. Officers began first aid on the man until Benton Fire Rescue and Abbott EMS arrived. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition as of Monday.

Officers took 34-year-old Dustin H. Keller into custody at the scene. He was taken to the Franklin County Jail where he is being held on charges of aggravated battery and aggravated domestic battery.
