Strong winds cause semi crash Thursday on I-64

WHITE COUNTY — Strong winds Thursday morning caused a semi crash on I-64 in White County.

Illinois State Police says around 10:15, 57-year-old Ronald C. Cipriano of Miami Beach, Florida, was driving west on I-64 near mile post 121-and-a half when strong winds lifted the empty semi-trailer, causing both the semi and trailer to overturn. The vehicle came to rest on I-64 blocking both westbound lanes of traffic for several hours.

Cipriano did not report any injuries as a result from the crash.
