$15 Minimum Wage Continues to be Discussed

ILLINOIS (RFD) — The first steps to see if the lawmakers will support at $15 minimum wage have been taken by the Illinois Senate. A committee hearing on the matter saw broad support from Democrats but many still had questions about how long the state would take to push the wage all the way to $15. The business community is less than thrilled about the idea. Mark Grant is with the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

Lawmakers suggested ideas including having higher wages in areas with higher costs of living and perhaps lower wages for teenage workers.
